Geological and geophysical transect of the Middle Tien Shan across the Naryn and Atbashi depressions

The article presents the results of integrated geological and geophysical research works dealt with detailed magnetotelluric (MT) sounding study morphology spatial position sedimentary cover basement structures along key transect Middle Tien Shan crossing Naryn Atbashi depressions. data on distribution deep electrical conductivity crust upper mantle were compared seismic profiling data. compilation structural-geological studies provided opportunity to draw 2D upper-crust structure, consistent structure depths about 10 km. cross-sections structural allow us characterize deformations Cenozoic complex Paleozoic surface associated alpine activation segment Shan. It is shown that parageneses emerged during a relatively short-term phase deformation orogeny under conditions horizontal compression transpression, which did not manifest themselves sagging occurred previously.
